Cristina Pagan, born and raised in Paterson, NJ, has been serving her community for over 20 years. In 2012, she launched Teens2BHeard, a 501(c)(3) non-profit focused on leadership, teen advocacy, mentorship, and family support. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Cristina specializes in anxiety, depression, and trauma. She began her career as an in-home counselor and now owns her own mental health agency, Safe Counsel.
Currently, she directs the Paterson Youth Services Bureau, overseeing programs aimed at reducing youth recidivism through education, employment, and life skills. Cristina is passionate about advocating for youth and building a stronger community. Through her work with the SASH Lab and Paterson Prevention Project, she contributes to research and prevention initiatives that benefit local families and youth in Paterson and in surrounding communities.
