Petty Tineo is a Ph.D. student in the Clinical Psychology program at Montclair State University, Class of 2023. Her research interests include understanding ethnic and cultural differences in exposure to traumatic events, long-term mental health outcomes in the aftermath of trauma, suicide prevention, and improving access to mental health services.
Petty currently works at The SASH Lab on a part-time basis as a research assistant, providing support for The Paterson Prevention Project. As a native of Paterson, Petty is passionate about supporting youth from her community. Petty currently is involved in data collection, conducting literature reviews and data analysis on projects pertaining to Paterson in the lab.
